Introduction to Forest Schools 04 September 2024

This was our first session of Forest Schools of the new school year with Primary 1 children. The children were told all about forest schools and introduced to the rules/boundaries. Children participated in an activity were they had to find a leaf, stick and pine cone and place it on the tarpaulin sheet. The children discussed the different types of objects e.g.shapes, sizes and colours. The children then played a memory game were a leaf, stick, pine cone, acorn and conker was placed on the tarpaulin sheet and one item was removed each time. All of the children tried to recall what item was taken away.
