Bug hunting. Minibeasts is one of our topics for WAU. We have been learning lots of facts about minibeasts and went to Tropical world in Letterkenny for our educational trip. At this session we looked at a fact book about bugs and discussed what we knew about the bugs. We looked at some large plastic bugs and then chose a bug container, tweezers and a bug hunt scavenger sheet and clipboard. With some parents and staff we looked under wood logs, stones, and in our bug hotel. We found some wood lice, beetles and ants.
