29th April 2024 Discovering the flowers and plants around our Forest School

Taking the lead from our session on seed bombs and pollinators on the 22nd of April, we went out to find flowers that have emerged around our forest school taking particular note of any purple flowers or shrubs as Emmett Brogan had told us that bees are particularly attracted to purple blooms as well as dandelions at this time of the year.
Completely incidentally, one of our friends of Forest School from the Mens’ Shed, the grandfather of one of our nursery children, was out working on our new sheltered area in forest school. He enjoyed joining in with the children’s activities..
