Garden tidy and Nature cutting.

Children explored the Nursery garden, tidying, weeding, and watering plants. After the big tidy, the children took part in cutting activity in the herb garden. the children cut rosemary, lavender, mint and curry plant to encourage new growth. Afterwards, they took their cuttings to tuff tray to practice cutting skills and fine motor skills by crushing the herbs with pestle and mortar. The children discussed health and safety with handling scissors. They used their senses to explore the smell and touch of the herbs. Afterwards, the children were able to name the different herbs and describe the smell and texure.
