As part of our Welly Wednesday outdoor learning today we had a snail race. Luckily I went in to my garden this morning and found about 25 snails to bring to school because we couldn’t find any in school at all. The children set them all in a line, we gave them all names and then we watched them and cheered them on as they raced to the other end. We ended up having to do this inside as it started raining just as we went out.

I cannot recommend this highly enough!! – if you are stuck for entertainment in the summer, give this a go! The children were mesmerised for about half an hour. Great fun was had by all.
