Wood whittling 02/05/24

Wood whittling. The session began with a discussion about where wood comes from and a lovely story about how the oak tree grows. The activity was explained to the children and safety instructions about using the tool away from your body when paring the wood off the willow. Resources for the children were provided for them to make their own ‘stick person’ we finished the activity with each child describing what they had made. We had several parents supporting the group along with a member of staff.
